Editing Services For Crime Writers
Investigator Ballard, signing on for duty!
In crime fiction, the plot is usually driven by a crime. The main character can be perpetrating it, trying to stop it, or trying to solve it. This is the genre where my particular skill set shines!
Not sure if your officer needs a warrant? Is your sheriff following standard protocol? Do you know if your detective is committing any egregious procedural errors? Are you looking for guidance on making sure your crime scenes seem realistic? Need help plotting your murder?
Utilizing my experience, expertise, and in-depth knowledge of the criminal justice system and police procedure, I will help ensure your law enforcement characters and investigations are realistic and believable. I can evaluate the details of your story, looking for errors and oversights, while also offering advice on situations where authenticity can be sacrificed in the name of fiction without damaging the outcome of a case.
I provide several services to meet the needs of authors in a variety of different situations, but if you’re looking for something specific, don’t hesitate to reach out!
“This is like feedback gold for a mystery thriller author like me!”
