Crime Scene Clean Up

Editing Services For Crime Writers

Investigator Ballard, signing on for duty!

In crime fiction, the plot is driven by the crime, and the authenticity of that crime is where my particular skill set shines.

As a former police officer, I've spent a decade immersed in law enforcement, investigations, and the criminal justice system. I use that firsthand experience to help authors create realistic and believable narratives. My services are designed to address the specific challenges thriller and mystery authors face, including:

  • Verifying Accuracy: I’ll review your manuscript to ensure your police procedures and crime scenes are realistic.

  • Strengthening Characters: I’ll provide feedback on your law enforcement characters’ language and behaviors, ensuring they feel authentic.

  • Balancing Fact and Fiction: I’ll advise you on when to follow protocol for believability and when to take creative liberties to make your plot more effective.

I offer several services to fit a variety of needs, and I'm always open to discussing specific projects!

“This is like feedback gold for a mystery thriller author like me!”
